Active Technologies to announce Innovative Product Family of Arbitrary Function, Waveform and Pulse Generators
at the Electronica Show in Munich (November 8 – 11, 2016, Hall A1 Booth 271)

Active Technologies will release a new Series of single , Dual and Quad channels Pulse Generator, Arbitrary Function Generator and Waveform Generator a the Electronica Show on November 8 – 11, 2016 in Munich, Germany.

This new Rider Series™ of Bench top instruments is targeting a broad range of electronics applications from the Automotive and Power Electronics market to the Physics and Defense Electronics applications. This family of new products offer a unique combination of pristine signal output quality, high channel count and lower cost per channel than other more expensive solutions already present in the Test and Measurement market today.

The Riders AFGs and Rider AWGs series will be based on a Worldwide best performance high resolution Digital to Analog Converter (RiderDAC™), that meets the market demand for high sample rate, dynamic range and very deep generation memory, combined in a very reliable and complete solution.

The Rider Pulse Generator series (Pulse Rider™) products offer a unique combination of fast rise time and high dynamic range and is based an on Fast Edge technology reaching up to 80 ps transition time with a 5 Volt pulse amplitude signal swing.

All Rider™ AFG, AWG and Pulse Generators, will be released with a new easy-to-use software Graphical User Interface (RiderSimple™) and ergonomic front panel, 7 inch touch screen color display and optional 19 inch rack mounting solution in a 2 or 4 channels configuration with the possibility to synchronize multiple instruments to achieve an higher channel count.

All products will be released at the shows in Munich and we will start quoting immediately with delivery scheduled at 30 days ARO.

New generation of AWGs and AFG touch screen control system

All users of AT-AWG 2500 series, may download from active technologies web site, the new version of software control to better handle the functionality of 2500 series using pre-approved commercial tablet systems (Please check with AT in case of inconvenience). The new functionality combined with an ergonomic user interface, better manage the interaction with the AT-AWG 2500, to make easy and simple the creation of traditional waveform or modulation to be applied using the DDS Technology. This is the first time than AWG software application will be installed and used on modern Windows Tablet. The application could be also installed on a normal windows PC using the mouse to simply the waveform creation.
With this application we started our process to define a new generation of disruptive products, easy to be used and with an incredible and efficient user interface. AT is daily focusing on customer experience and listening VOC (Voice of Customers) for any new desire or need to be translated in effective application to be used on the actual or future generation of products. The new version is available on the Active Technologies web site from the 20 of August 2016.

New generation of Fast Record and Playback System

RPX Series, Rackmount Recording and Playback system combine a powerful platform capable to acquire, storage and generate huge amount of data and a scalable system in terms of number of channels and performance. The compact and robust rack mount form factor makes the
RPX Series the ideal platform for innovative projects in the field of big physics, space and radar applications .The architecture of the platform is designed to guarantee the data transfer and the synchronization between the modules of the same chassis and chassis to chassis. The system has been fully developed in Europe and can be distributed and fully supported by Active Technologies all around European Union free of export license issues.

Single System is based on 4 PCI express board based on Xilinx Kintex 7 FPGAs and customizable with mezzanine FMC modules. This may allow to record up to 640 channels of I/O interface for complex multi channels applications or ADCs /DACs acquisition systems for a very long acquisition and/or generation of long waveforms. Transfer rate will be up 16 Gbyte of data, using DDR3 memory for each of the boards for a total storage capacity of 16 Terabytes of Disk Storage array, even removable. Each of the board may reach 4 Gbyte / Second of continuous transfer rate from FPGAs board to the SSD storage array. System may be combined and synchronized up to 8 systems for a total capacity of 5120 channels and 128 Terabytes of storage capacity at 32 GByte/ second transfer rate. System allows several applications for Avionics, Satellites , Radar or EW systems , with acquisition of data and/or countermeasure (DACs). May be used in advance research systems such accelerators or plasma physics research where combination of speed and number of channels will be essentials.
